I heard Colin Powell speak on leadership recently. His key points:

  • Set goals with the your team
  • Train your team continuously
  • Provide your team with the resources they need
  • Reward your team based upon their performance and
  • Provide ethical leadership.

Planning only takes you so far. Build a plan that you and your team will implement.

Strategic Implication

Make your plan implementable, or don't bother planning.
